description: Oracle A1 instance recovered via UEFI serial console, SSH keys injected, IP may have changed after reboot
type: project

Oracle A1 instance (was 141.148.221.38) — recovered SSH access on 2026-03-29 via serial console.

**Recovery method:** UEFI Boot Manager → GRUB command line → `init=/bin/bash` → injected SSH keys.

**Keys added to /home/ubuntu/.ssh/authorized_keys:**
1. oracle-key (ed25519) — GCP VM
2. id_ed25519 (phone) — GCP VM default
3. Termius RSA key — for phone access

**Why:** Lost original SSH keys, needed serial console + GRUB recovery. Run Command didn't work (OCA not responding).

**How to apply:**
- IP may have changed after reboot — check Oracle Console for current IP
- Still needs scaling from 1 OCPU/6GB → 4 OCPU/24GB (free tier max)
- Second Oracle instance (arnav-n8n-icedout, E2.1.Micro, 129.154.246.111) still locked out — user decided not worth the effort for 1GB VM

**Pending:**
- Confirm new A1 public IP
- Update DNS records if IP changed
- Scale to 4 OCPU / 24GB
